BURRITO BASH

This is a game made for the GMTK 2024 Game Jam with the theme, Built to Scale.

HOW TO PLAY

This game requires a mouse to play. There are no other controls other than moving the mouse around and using the left mouse button.

Press the trash-bin to load your burrito with ingredients. Put on the lid when you're done. After all, you don't want your burrito to get dirty from the nearby trash. Then sling the burrito as far as possible by aiming high with your mouse and clicking, and try to feed the monsters. Careful though! The more ingredients you load it with, the heavier it gets.

Watch out so you don't destroy the city. If you irritate the monster too much by hitting its body instead of its head, it just might get angry and fire off an aggressive attack, damaging large parts of the city.

HOW DOES THIS FIT INTO THE GAME JAM THEME?

The theme Built to Scale can be interpreted in many ways. We decided to play with perspectives. Something is far away, and it appears smaller than it is. You need to feed this something from a distance, using a slingshot, some tortilla bread and whatever you find in the trash bin, and you need to make sure that the food you throw at it is big enough.

Of course, like with all game jams, time running out did leave us with a lot of "I wish we had time to do this and that". With that said, this game is fairly incomplete. But it's still cute and chill, so give it a shot!
